The unimog army ambulance is located on our picturesque lake next to our farm yard on the A52 to Skegness. It is one of half a dozen unique forms of accommodation that will be situated here, along side Kaleb the combine. When finished, the site will have between 6 and 8 quirky places to stay. Keeping the number of units low will help us to keep a nice peaceful environment for our guests to enjoy.
There is a service road to the ambulance to drop off your luggage but the parking is in the adjacent farm yard. A two minute walk back to your accommodation.
Unimog army ambulance description
The Unimog itself contains a bench seat arrangement with fold away table that can be stored under the seats themselves. A double bed can be simply created by altering the seat arrangement. Eventually our log pod or any other vehicle will be available to book alongside at a discounted rate, if extra sleeping space is required.
As well as the seating/bedding the rest of the space is taken up with kitchen/storage units, facilities for simple cooking and a smart, wall mounted tv. The Unimog itself is not fitted with a toilet or washing facilities. These can be found in the brand new shower block also located next to the lake itself.
The vehicle is fully insulated and fitted with a small electric heater which is more than enough to heat the whole space, even on the coldest nights.
The property is located just 7 miles from the seaside town of Skegness where you will find plenty to do. The beaches are lovely and the town has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment. Locally there are many places to visit such as the Lincolnshire wildlife park, Batemans brewery and Gibraltar point nature reserve, to name a few.
The is also a local pub within walking distance but just check on opening times as they vary. The Barley Mow
